Three skewed rotor blades are studied experimentally, including radial, forward-skewed and backward-skewed blade. The aerodynamic behaviour of rotors is measured. Compared to radial rotor, forward-skewed rotor demonstrates a wider stable operating range (SOR). At design condition, detailed flow measurements are performed with a five-hole probe at outlet of rotors. Compared to radial rotor, forward-skewed rotor can reduce total pressure loss in hub region and make main loading of blade accumulating in mid-span. In backward-skewed rotor there is higher total pressure loss near hub and shroud region and lower loss in mid-span region.
