The Chaotic Neural Network (CNN), the combination of the chaotic and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN), is presented and applied to optimize the vacuum interrupter. Moreover, the unique dynamic characteristic of the CNN has been successfully utilized for solving the multivariable optimization. And the feasibility and the validity for the global optimization are verified by the demonstrated examples.
