Determination of system variables such as voltage, currents etc., is a vital part of the planning and operation of the traction network. These system variables are further used for the design and condition monitoring of the traction network. In this study, to determine these system variables, the load flow analysis of the 2 × 27.5 k V traction network has been performed with a single-phase transformer and V/V connected transformer at the traction substation (TSS). Further, the voltage unbalance introduced at the grid side of the TSS has been analysed for these two different TSS transformers.
