This paper presents a computational model of a terahertz (THz) photoconductive antenna (PCA) made with LT-GaAs. Performance of the proposed grating PCA design is studied in terms of its induced photocurrent. The effects of electrode structure and grating structure are also investigated and analyzed through its optical and electrical responses. The results suggest that a higher THz power could potentially be obtained using the proposed PCA with grating structures.
