In recent years, the destruction of power facilities by external construction forces is an important factor that causes grid fault tripping and power supply interruptions in China’s 10kV distribution networks. In order to reduce the occurrence of power facility accidents caused by external forces at fixed construction points, at Aotou Power Supply Station where is a mountainous area in the north of Guangzhou with multiple construction sites, large construction quantity and complex terrain, the prevention and control of external damages can be effectively achieved by carrying out pre investigation, conducting external crack prevention education, penetrating disclosure, whole process control of construction points, collaboration of government and enterprise, joint construction of party branches, setting technical and physical prevention measures. After effective control of fixed construction points until the end of this construction, the effect of “0 trip” was achieved. And the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method were verified through the actual operation of the power grid.
