In response to the phenomenon of breakdown of the rectifier diode in the switch power supply board of intelligent energy meters, a reverse voltage withstand test was conducted on the rectifier diode. We analyze the factors related to the reverse voltage generated on the secondary rectifier diode through surge experiments, and conduct tests on the high-voltage and low-voltage sides of the rectifier diode respectively. By changing the current limiting resistance, increasing circuit capacitance, changing differential mode inductance, and comparing the primary inductance of different transformers, various methods are compared and verified to analyze the reverse voltage withstand measures of diodes and improve the reliability of intelligent energy meters.
