The power supply source for electroplating, hydrogen production etc. have the characteristics of wide output voltage range, very large output current. The LLC topology is applied widely for its efficiency advantage. The paper introduced a full-bridge LLC resonant converter with input-series output-parallel structure to satisfy the circumstances of large output current. A hybrid control method is applied in the full-bridge LLC resonant converter to meet the widely output voltage range, which include the frequency modulation (FM) in high output voltage range and Phase-shifting (PS) modulation in low output voltage range. The full-bridge LLC resonant converter is designed and set up to verify the control methods.
