In order to meet the higher demand for renewable energy storage system, modular parallel connection three-level converters are widely adopted. The parallel operation introduces circulating currents and the deviation of neutral point (NP) potential increases the complexity of circulation problems. This paper concerns both the ZSCCs and the NP potential deviation in parallel three-level converter system. Specific expressions of ZSCCs and NP potential deviation with SVPWM are given and it's proved that under identical working conditions, the ZSCC suppression and the NP potential balance will not have significant effect on each other. Furthermore, control strategies are given to suppress ZSCC and balance NP potential and verified in simulation and experiment.
