Power cable is an important power transmission carrier to support the safe and stable power supply of the power system. Ensuring its good performance is the fundamental purpose of cable testing, to facilitate the timely discovery of various problems in the cable and eliminate potential risks. However, at present, due to the complexity of the working environment and the existence of defects in the cable itself, resulting in repeated testing of the cable occurs from time to time. In this paper, we analyze the current situation of the existing power cable handover test and propose improvement measures to reduce the repetition rate of the cable test in order to improve the reliability and safety of the distribution cable handover test.
