In this paper, a new low profile wideband circular-polarized antenna for satellite communication is designed. The metal floor with “C” groove is used for the antenna, and the “L” feed structure excites a pair of orthogonal modes with equal amplitude and 90° phase difference, so that the antenna radiates circular-polarized waves. The simulation results show that the 3dBi axial bandwidth of the antenna with a center frequency of 3GHz reaches 101.7% (3.05GHz), and the impedance bandwidth of S11-10dBi reaches 106.7% (3.2GHz). It solves the technical problem that the impedance bandwidth and axial ratio bandwidth of the circularly polarized antenna are not enough, and has a potential application prospect in the field of portable satellite communication antennas.
