Comparisons between TPS-64QAM and UD-16QAM are executed employing bandwidth-limited transmission systems. Results show that 0.7 -dB OSNR sensitivity improvements, 10-dB optimal launch power improvements and 350-km maximum-reach improvements could be introduced by TPS-64QAM compared to UD-16QAM.
