Microgrid is the focus of electrical system reform in the world, and its fault characteristics are different from distribution network, so the traditional protection scheme is no longer suitable for microgrid. Aiming at the influence of transition resistance on the measured impedance in microgrid protection, a new distance protection scheme with a certain degree of resistance to transition resistance is proposed according to the voltage and current changes at the fault occurs before and after the two ends of the line. First, a small resistance is placed between the protection installation points, thereby weakening the influence of the transition resistance on the line. Secondly, according to the phase relationship between fault current and measured current, a new adaptive tuning coefficient is constructed, which can eliminate the influence of transition resistance on measured impedance to some extent. In this paper, based on real-time data simulation of PSCAD/EMTDC platform, a microgrid system is constructed to simulate the size of transition resistance when ground fault occurs. The comparison of simulation data shows that the scheme has certain characteristics of transition resistance, has certain reliability, and increases the range of protection actions.
