With the worldwide concerns on the energy crisis and climate issue, the developing of the electric vehicle (EV) becomes popular, and it is an urgent task to extend the mileage of the EVs. In this paper, China Light-duty vehicle Test Cycle is chosen to simulate multiple operation conditions and test the economic performance of the vehicle. According to the requirements of the EV, the parameters of the driving motor are selected. Then a vehicle dynamics model is built in AVL CRUISE, and computing tasks are conducted to evaluate the dynamic and economic performance. The preliminary results indicate that the vehicle dynamics model fails to meet the requirements in energy consumption, so the torque coordinated control strategy is put forward. The final results verify the validity of the proposed strategy, and the vehicle dynamics model is proved to be qualified.
