In order to solve the problem of low resolution in range-Doppler estimation of passive radar, a target range-Doppler estimation method for passive radar based on compressed sensing is proposed. Firstly, the range domain estimation is formulated as a distributed compressed sensing problem. Then, the distributed compressed sensing simultaneous fast matching pursuit algorithm is proposed to perform sparse reconstruction of range domain. Finally, the extend orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm is utilized to perform sparse reconstruction of Doppler domain. The verification of simulation and experimental data shows that the proposed method reduces the influence of the sidelobe, improves the resolution, and avoids the problem of large dictionary size and high time complexity.
