We report on designs and simulation results of four different metasurfaces that can be patterned out of gold and platinum nanostructures on a 200nm-thick silicon nitride film for band-selective absorption of 3-5μm mid-infrared light. The results demonstrate promising potential for integration with room temperature mid-infrared detectors.
