In view of the actual characteristics of conceptual design and artistic modeling design, this paper proposes a modeling idea for handicraft design carving design based on Polygon modeling. This article introduces the specific use of different tool paths in Powermill software. Then this paper proposes a reconstruction method of NURBS surface based on triangular meshes according to the surface radian design of crafts. The algorithm performs Delaunay triangulation on the processed point cloud data and reconstructs the G1 continuous Bezier surface. The algorithm completes the Coons surface reconstruction of each rectangular area through the transformation of the triangular domain to the rectangular domain. Finally, this paper takes the example to simulate the computer-aided modeling system and the surface reconstruction algorithm. The results show that the modeling method of computer craft art sculpture has strong practicability for the 3D software modeling concept of art design.
