This paper presents a 77GHz high-gain series-fed anti-collision antenna for autonomous vehicles. The designed antenna comprises a series-fed array of 10 patches and a cap-shaped fin structure fed by a coplanar waveguide structure. The designed antenna can operate in the impedance bandwidth of 76.19-77.82GHz, meeting the working band of 77GHz automotive anti-collision radar. Good impedance matching with a reflection coefficient of lower than −10 dB and stable and symmetrical radiation with a high gain of 15 – 20 dBi at 76.19-77.82GHz is obtained. The antenna's performance is suitable for applying 77GHz anti-collision radar for vehicles.
