Implementing microinverters can enhance energy harvesting because each photovoltaic (PV) panel can be controlled individually. This article proposes a non-isolated active switched inductor-capacitor converter with a voltage multiplier technique for microinverter applications in renewable energy systems. The proposed converter achieved a performance level comparable to other active-switched-inductor converters. Furthermore, it can increase the voltage by 10 – 27 times within a duty cycle range of 0.5 to 0.7, yielding an efficiency of 93 to 97 % experimentally and simulated results, respectively. This topology demonstrates an efficient interface between the utility grid and the PV systems to enhance further the collective contribution of renewable energy resources to global demand.
