In this paper, the model of alkaline electrolyzer is summarized and established. The model can be integrated into different types of renewable energy systems. Different from the traditional model established by empirical formula, the influence of physical parameters of the electrolyzer cell on the energy consumption of the cell is considered, and the influence of different temperature, pressure and current density on the energy consumption of the cell is also explored. The operation of the cell is described, and the simulation results are given. The results of this paper can be used as an important reference for evaluating the transient performance of electrolytic cell and the energy consumption of start-up and shutdown.
