Ground-penetrating radar is a geophysical detection method that uses high-frequency wireless electromagnetic waves to determine the distribution of various media inside an object. Underground pipelines are the lifeline of urban life, and the aging damage of pipelines over time brings serious harm to people’s lives. And many old pipeline construction drawings are lost, making it difficult to find the location of the pipeline, which brings great trouble to the construction staff. In order to find out the condition of pipelines under the ground in the city and to prevent major problems of underground pipelines from threatening people’s lives and causing significant economic losses to the society, a nationwide census and inspection of underground pipelines should be conducted to, on the one hand, increase the understanding of the structure of old pipelines and provide favorable information for urban construction; on the other hand, the abnormal condition of underground pipelines can be found in advance to remind the relevant departments to To make preparations and assist the relevant staff to carry out pipeline maintenance. Compared with the traditional detection methods, the efficiency of ground-penetrating radar is very high; and ground-penetrating radar can accurately detect the difference of underground objects and media, and can effectively detect the pipelines under the ground. Using ground-penetrating radar to ground detection without manual excavation and other operations, will not cause damage to the ground, is a non-destructive detection method. Therefore, we choose high efficiency, low cost, high accuracy and non-destructive ground-penetrating radar for ground detection. For this reason, the design of 3D cable line BIM parameter modeling system based on ground-penetrating radar identification results is studied in this paper.
