In view of the safety risks and environmental problems of using polymer glue for graphite composite grounding material, this paper proposes a flexible glue-free graphite carbon fiber composite conductive material. It’s manufactured by rolling process with graphite and carbon fiber, and can be cut, twisted and woven into rope-shape composite grounding conductor to replace galvanized steel in grounding device of transmission line. In this paper, the micromorphology of the composite conductive material is observed by SEM. The electrical resistivity measurement, pulse current withstand test, tensile performance test and temperature test are conducted on the composite grounding conductor according to the electric power industry standard DL/T 2095-2020. The test results show that the composite grounding conductor has good electrical and mechanical properties and meets the requirements of power engineering.
