The conventional continuous mode bandwidth cannot exceed one octave theoretically. This paper presents an ultra-wideband power amplifier based on extended continuous class F mode, implemented by a simplified output matching network. The output matching network consists of a harmonic control network and a fundamental matching network. The simulation results show that the PA can achieve the saturated output power of 39.6-41.1dBm and the drain efficiency of 55%-68% within the frequency range of 0.7-3.2GHz.
