In order to explore the damage law of the electromagnetic field of the adjacent lightning strike to typical electronic products, and then provide a reference for lightning protection, a civilian computer is used as the test piece to carry out the indirect effect damage test of the electromagnetic field near the lightning strike in this paper. The test obtained the damage effect when the computer was subjected to different degrees of adjacent lightning strikes, and found out the damage threshold when the abnormal state happened, and also measured the coupling current of various cables. By referring to the near strike lightning electromagnetic field environment specified by the standard, the safety margin of electronic products is obtained. Finally, it is concluded that the damage to electronic equipment such as civilian computers by the standard near strike lightning magnetic field is higher than that of the standard near strike lightning electric field, and the protection of the near strike lightning magnetic field should be strengthened in terms of electromagnetic protection.
