In order to obtain a long-time and accurate value of substation boundary noise, it is necessary to adopt self-calibration technology in online monitoring. This paper studies the principle of self-calibration technology (electrostatic actuators for determination of microphone’s frequency response). Considering the substation boundary noise characteristics, the actuator is set to operate only with AC voltage. The related principle is analyzed theoretically, and the circuit is designed. The practical application shows that this method is feasible.
