In this communication, an equivalent planar complementary source array antenna with wide-beam radiation feature is presented. The wide-beam radiation feature is realized by the complementary source elements with a radiation beam that alternately points to two sides of the array. A center-fed metal strip with a shorted ending is proposed to replace the original electric radiation sources of the complementary radiation sources, and the antenna structure is flattened. A 9-element array is designed to verify the feasibility of the wide-beam planarization method. The profile the validation case is only $0.08\lambda_{0}$ and the E-plane half-power beam-width achieves 180°.
