Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging (ISAR imaging) is a tool for obtaining a radar image of target. The increasing demand on high-resolution ISAR images causes ISAR imaging to become more sensitive to errors. For near-filed radar imaging the complexity of the rotational motion of target must be considered. In this paper, Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) algorithm is used to reconstruct the finer range profiles of several prominent points. Depend on these prominent points, we can extract the rotation motion and restore the instantaneous angle. Relying on the angles, we use filtered back projection (FBP) to reconstruct the ISAR image. Simulations and experimental result demonstrate a good performance of the proposed approach in terms of efficiency.
