We propose a design method of electromagnetic (EM) metasurfaces composed of time-varying coding reconfigurable elements for multiple Doppler shifts. Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is used to load the time-domain voltage signals to the varactor diodes. Multiple Doppler shifts are realized by dynamic control of reflection phase. The results of the preliminary experiments have demonstrated the ability of the metasurfaces to modulate the Doppler shifts with the voltage signals applied on the varactor diodes. The proposed method is easy to implement, and have potential applications in radar imaging and wireless communication systems.
