The inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging technique is widely used in remote sensing and target detection areas, and the back projection (BP) algorithm is a fundamental method to obtain the target's images. Large signal bandwidth and high frequency of the Terahertz ISAR can lead to a relative high resolution. But the ISAR images are vulnerable to the signal errors at the same time. Both the signal nonlinearity and the imaging parameters errors will make the imaging result defocusing and consisting of distortion. The imaging parameters mainly consist the deviation of the turntable center• and the distance between the scattering point and the antenna. This paper analyses the influences of the signal nonlinearity and the deviation of the target center, and proposes an improved near-field BP algorithm to eliminate the defocusing and distortion in a 330GHz Terahertz ISAR imaging experiment of a metal cylinder model.
