@@@@Highlights •Human exposure to three types of SVOCs was systematically characterized via multiple matrices.•NAP might be used as an important characteristic contaminant among the 33 SVOCs.•Human exposure pathways were clearly correlated to vapour pressure of SVOCs.•Dermal absorption was the predominant exposure pathway, especially for LMW PAHs.•Higher and unacceptable carcinogenic risk posed by PAHs was found for surrounding residents.
