@@@@Highlights •Abundant oxygen vacancies on BiOCOOH were generated via BP/RP introduction.•The photocatalytic degradation of TC-HCl was implemented with different light sources.•Hole sacrifice agents greatly improved the quantum efficiency, which leading to a high photocatalytic efficiency.•Double heterojunctions between BiOCOOH and BP/RP accelerated the separation efficiency of carriers.
