The article focuses on a study conducted on Canadian feedlots to determine the effect of parenteral oxytetracycline (OCT) treatment on bovine respiratory disease (BRD). The study reveals that all animals had a deep nasal swab for the collection of Mycobacterium bovis culture. The study further states that cattle received antimicrobial OTC had lower risk of BRD and increased risk of arthritis.
