The article focuses on a 31-year-old Caucasian woman with intermittent haematochezia and was diagnosed with rectal mucosa resulting from haemorrhoids since the age of two. It says that the patient continued to have episodes of haematochezia despite treatment using cryotherapy. It presents the patient's magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvis in which the axial and coronal T1 and T2 MRI sequences have demonstrated thickening of the entire rectum extending into the distal sigmoid.
