The article discusses a study which investigated the association between androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) use and second primary malignancies in men with localized prostate cancer. The risk of developing a primary cancer among men who were treated with ADT is estimated using proportional hazards regression. It concludes that treatment of localized prostate cancer with ADT is not associated with an increased risk of second primary malignancies.
