Digital natives? New and old media and children's language acquisition.

The article presents a study that investigates the development of Australian children's language as they grew and information about the particular children's generation known as digital natives. Researchers found that television has negative impact on their educational achievement and cognitive development because it disrupted their concentration. They also discovered that controlling their Internet access positively impacted their word recognition abilities.
