The article presents a study that introduces an inversion algorithm for retrievals of stratospheric BrO from the Aura Microwave Limb Sounder. The version introduced in the study is based on the algorithm but uses a more realistic atmospheric state to constrain the retrieval. The study uses the measured Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) BrO to be 20.3 lesser or greater than 4.5 pptv in implying a 2005 yearly total inorganic Bry.
