The article discusses a study of the Carabidae or ground beetle fauna of the Akrotiri peninsula in Cyprus. The dominant types of habitats on the peninsula are described including Fasouri marshes and reedbeds, Akrotiri salt lake and margins and Ladies mile beach and lagoons. The study identified a total of 105 species with four of them endemic to Cyprus. It found no significant differences in the biogeographic representation of the species on the peninsula and the island as whole.
