The article presents information on opportunities for extension professionals and other educators to learn more about teenagers and communication, and to provide educational programs for teens and parents. One of the more popular ways for teenagers to communicate is social networking Web sites like MySpace. Eighty-seven percent of those ages 12-17 use the Internet, and 75 percent of on-line teens prefer instant messaging to regular electronic mail.
