Recounts the life of Canadian leftist artist Robert Kell and discusses the series of paintings and drawings he created during the 1970's and early 1980's to commemorate the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919. Kell first became acquainted with the work of leftist artists during the 1960's. During the 1970's, he settled on the Winnipeg strike, a six-week walkout involving 30,000 workers, as the focus of his work attempting to show the ongoing struggle of the Canadian worker.
