The article presents a study which assesses factors associated with breast cancer mortality between African American and European American women. The study examines data of participants in South Carolina's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (SCBCCEDP) during the years 1996-2004. The results of the study are presented and analyzed. The findings highlight the need for further research into the etiology of racial differences, and their impact on breast cancer survival.
