The article discusses the immigration of Francophone minority communities in Alberta. It examines three sources of data collected in research works conducted by the City of Edmonton between 2000 and 2007. The first study deals with Francophone expectations of the Francophone school system, while the second study explores immigrant Francophone school choices in the city. Moreover, the third research work presents a case study of school and community environments and provides various data gathered within and outside the school environment.
