The article discusses a study on the effect of water consumption before a meal on hunger and fullness and on energy intake in healthy men and women. The study also examined whether aging influences the effect of water consumption on meal energy intake. The study found that premeal water consumption significantly reduced meal energy intake in older adults and not in younger adults.
