The article reports on a research study which focuses on remodelling of schools in England. The remodelling of the school workforce began with the statutory changes in teachers' contracts. The study revealed that the training and development of teachers is an important step in the remodeling process. The National Remodelling Team (NRT) was established so that the schools can control their own agendas. Under the study, the NRT worked in close liaison with the Workforce Agreement Monitoring Group. The NRT represented the employers, the Government and school workforce unions to see the implementation of the Agreement.
