A long range surface plasmon resonance (LR-SPR) sensor with antimonene and Cytop is proposed to enhance the detection accuracy (DA) and figure of merit (FOM). In contrast to conventional LRSPR structure with aluminium (Al) metal, antimonene coated the metal surface helps to improve biomolecules adsorption and prevents the oxidation of Al metal. Low loss LR-SPPs are induced at both sides of metal film due to closer refractive index (RI) of Cytop and sensing medium. Hence, the proposed LR-SPR sensor confirmed high DA (50 deg.−1) and highest FOM (894.96 RIU−1) value. This paper shows meaningful results for the designing and development of LRSPR sensor for the sensing of the large scale biomolecules. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
