The cancer health system needs to establish better coordination mechanisms between national stakeholders, state-level stakeholders, and the public and private sectors to specifically focus on cancer prevention. Social determinants of health have a significant impact on who is more likely to be aware of the risk factors associated with cancer and undertake behaviors that impact cancer risk and take part in cancer screening.
