The article describes the case of a 47-year-old man diagnosed with surfer's myelopathy. Case highlights include the mechanism of spinal injury in surfer's myelopathy, an illustration showing prone hyperextension of the spine while surfing, and impaired venous return via compression of the inferior vena cava and fibrocartilaginous embolism.
