The article describes the case of a one-month old infant with episodes of cyanosis following crying mimicking breath-holding spells (BHS) and diagnosed with congenital vallecellular cyst. The patient underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain and neck as well as laryngotracheobronchoscopy examination of the upper airway. It enumerates red flag features in a child with suspected BHS and cites treatment options for vallecellular cysts including surgical incision and marsupialization.
