An editorial is presented on Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) being a cornerstone in the treatment of advanced heart failure (HF) with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Topics include successful electromechanical coupling and improvement of the biventricular systolic interaction translating into benefits in functional capacity; and reducing arrhythmic burden, improving ventricular–arterial coupling, and functional capacity compared to standard BiV.
