This article discusses the sports facility project initiated by City Councilwoman Letitia James, of Brooklyn's 35th District. She may stand alone at the podium, but James has hundreds of supporters behind her, voicing their opposition to a proposed sports arena and housing complex. James is fighting to save a community she has lived in her whole life from developer Brace Hauler's $2.5 billion project.
