The article discusses the study which compared the telomere length and distribution in patients administered with and without hypnotics. The aim of the study is to determine whether hypnotics is linked to aging-related somantic telomere shortening. Based on the study, regular hypnotics administration is related to somatic aging status and lifestyle-associated diseases promoting biological aging.
