The article offers a case study of 14-year-old African American male who presented to the emergency department with one month of diffuse oral mouth sores. Topics discussed patients completed a seven day course of acyclovir without improvement; mentions patient who had diffuse desquamation of all of his fingertips and erythematous macules with dusky centers on the palms; and includes paraneoplastic pemphigus which mostly associated with myeloproliferative diseases.
